Tea Blends

Teas of Thailand sells two kinds of blend, and they differ in form as much as in flavour. The house blend combines whole flowers and herbs we also sell individually, mixed for balance and sold loose by weight: Lemongrass & Pandan brings the citrus lift of lemongrass together with the sweet, vanilla-like warmth of pandan. The 15-Herb Thai Botanical Blend is different in kind: fifteen botanicals led by Jewel Vine, finely ground and sealed in tea bags, brewing deep red-amber, woody and earthy with a fresh herbaceous lift and a faint natural sweetness underneath. No flavourings or additives are used in either, and every tea in the range is naturally caffeine-free.Choosing between a blend and a single botanical is a question of flavour, not caffeine, because none of these teas contains any. If you want one cup that tastes of many things, take the 15-herb blend; it lands broad and savoury-sweet where the single teas are sharper and simpler. If you want to taste one plant clearly, take a single botanical: chamomile is soft, floral and lightly sweet with a gentle apple-like note; osmanthus delicately sweet and apricot-like; rose perfumed and lightly sweet; roselle sharply tart and fruity, closer to cranberry than to a flower; bael fruit warm, gently caramel-like and the most naturally sweet in the range; pandan sweet, grassy and nutty; peppermint bright, cool and clean. Try a small pack of whichever sounds closest, then come back for the larger size.
